Quality assurance and Peer review

All submissions will undergo a quality assurance review process after a preliminary review by the publishers. Here the support of the authors by constructive criticism stands in the foreground. The quality of the article is assessed on the basis of central criteria (comprehensibility, traceability and completeness as well as scientific foundation and professional correctness). The assessment does not have the task of constituting a high rejection rate or assessing the quality of teaching. The decision to accept, request for revision or rejection remains with the publisher. The responsible editor informs the first author (or corresponding author) about the decision and the relevant reasons. In the case of more far-reaching revision requirements, specific information on necessary and desirable changes as well as deadlines will also be provided.

Assessments are always conducted anonymously (blind peer review). The editorial system, with the access rights segregated for authors and appraisers, ensures that the authors and appraisers remain mutually anonymous. Therefore, please give names and contact details as well as, if necessary, the title of the event, only on a separate title page. Conspicuous self-citations and comments from which authorship can be made are to be avoided at the time of the review in order to preserve your anonymity.

Contributions that do not comply with the formal guidelines and / or content requirements of DWH will not be forwarded for review - in this case, however, we will return the formal requests and would be very pleased if you revise your contribution at short notice and submit again. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact the editors at any time!

The publishers of DWH aim for a short assessment period after receipt of the contribution. If you have any further questions, feel free to contact the corresponding publisher or write an e-mail to the editorial address (editor (at) dwherold.de). When making inquiries about planned contributions, please indicate which type of contribution it is.
